Hiding the Mouse Cursor

Why the cursor sometimes appears even though it's turned off.

If you've turned off the option to show the mouse cursor in your recording and you still see it, it's most likely because macOS is forcing the cursor into the recording.

Why does the mouse cursor show up in my recording when I turned it off?

macOS is forcing the cursor into the recording, which happens when an external display is connected. Neither Screenflick nor any other application can hide it then. Keep reading.

Why It Happens #

In certain circumstances, such as when an external display is connected to your Mac, macOS has to draw the cursor directly onto the screen. That means neither Screenflick nor any other application can hide the cursor in the recording.

This is a limitation of the hardware and macOS, not of Screenflick.
